Building a Highly Virtualized Storage Environment - SD New York City 2007
sponsored by Storage Decisions and 3PAR
ABSTRACT:
According to Enterprise Strategy Group, the biggest problem with managing storage environments is the complexity of the storage systems themselves. Most of the leading storage systems are complicated machines that require deep expertise and ongoing manual administration to maintain operational excellence. This complexity exists because these storage systems are not highly virtualized. The more virtualized the storage system, the easier it is to manage and maintain operational excellence.
In this presentation, Steve Duplessie of ESG discusses storage virtualization technologies within a storage system that are important. This presentation will explore these technologies and why highly virtualized storage systems are valuable today and will be vital in the future.(THIS RESOURCE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.)
